NIT-ology - 2/18/09
This website has UALR on the NIT bubble while WKU goes to the NCAA Tournament with the automatic bid.

While I like it, I don't see how that makes sense. UALR is CLEARLY the favorite. Best record, and (near) home court advantage in the tournament.

Troy deserves some consideration for the NIT as well (if they don't win the tournament, of course).

If UALR doesn't win the Belt Tournament then they are in the NIT. No way they don't get in.

Maestri said on Trojan Talk tuesday night that Troy had been contacted by the NIT people and another of the postseason tournaments committees.

Yeah, the CI.com Tournament. If WKU, UALR, Troy, and UNT can keep their RPI's looking good, then all 4 have a chance to go to the post-season somewhere.

NCAA Tournament - 65 bids
NIT - 32 bids
CBI - 16 bids
CI.com - 16 bids

129 Total Postseason Bids
