RE: Post Signing Day | Pre Spring Analysis
Will North Texas win any games in 2009?
Amazing that all the SBC teams predict nothing but gloom and doom, without
knowing anything about what is going on at NT. First, the NT adminstration is
100% backing Coach Dodge with his scheduled plans, direction, recruiting, and coaching staff. Second, this team is growing up. All of the true freshmen and redshirts are now sophmores and juniors, that have gained valuable game experience going against many very good teams. All the key players that were injured LY return. I am not saying NT will win the SBC crown in 2009, but I am saying, do not take NT lightly, or even consider a game with
NT is a automatic win in the 2009 season. Third, the only way to prove these
points is to win, and North Texas will win in 2009. Count on it!
So, enjoy the smack talk while you can. You deserve to boast and pound your chests. Lets just wait and see how the 2009 season plays out.

Student Athletes have to meet the NCAA minimum requirements.

Amazing that UNT's most important off-season acquisitions haven't been mention by anyone critiquing the team. An established, well experienced D-line coach and a dedicated strength coach for football only.

Will be interesting to see how DeLoach's defense progresses this year with player experience gained in '08, much needed beef and depth in the D-line and what should finally be a solid defensive coaching staff.

RE: Post Signing Day | Pre Spring Analysis
well to be fair, most of us know little about what is going on at UNT. someone asked a question, and we answered it to the best of our abilities. I wouldn't take any of these opinions personal, it's like asking a Florida fan how they thought Arkansas is going to do. It's mostly guessing unless that Florida fan frequents the Razerback boards.

Once again, as I've explained before, Troy did not sign 41 players. Players from the 2008 class that grayshirted were added to the commit list and they are not supposed to be added since they were in the 2008 class. Montavious Williams is part of that 41 too, but he signed with USA, so Troy had around 33 recruits in the actual 2009 class. The person that updated the Troy Rivals page didn't do it right.

From the looks of it the people at North Texas don't even know what's going on there.

RE: Post Signing Day | Pre Spring Analysis
NT fans are like the Dicky Nutt fans at ASU. No matter how much he loses there is always next year. Nutt ruined a good basketball program at ASU and nobody wanted to fire him. When ASU finally did fire him a large number of fans turned their backs on the program. We hired a name coach who has won more games this year than Nutt did all of last year and still can't get anyone to show up for the games. NT fans better not get attached to Dodge, cause the day will come when he is fired and the same will happen as did at ASU. That new stadium won't look to good with empty seats.
