They get a return on their investment every time we're announced as playing at FedExForum. Their logo is also on the court. It doesn't also need to be on our uniforms.

Besides, I can't imagine Cal agreeing to it. Or, for that matter, anyone else.

They wont even let BOSSMAN sell the damn jerseys to us. No way will they allow the team to wear anything with "memphis state" on them

Now I hope they would bring back the script Memphis, but with the darker shade blue not that light color they used with the Finch throwback. If you are going to do throwbacks do it authenic

Really?

What kind of return on investment is this going to bring to Fedex? Do you think that people will ship more freight with Fedex simply because the Tigers will be wearing purple and orange?

Remember when Sony and MLB planned to put "Spiderman 2" on the bases? The public backlash was so bad the scrapped the plan.

This, in my opinon, is worse.

If Fedex wants their colors to be on the Tigers backs, they can go strike up a corporate deal with Clemson.

I think that the point was that the '73 jerseys said Memphis and not Memphis State.

If we actually came out in FedEx colored jerseys I'm sure the pictures would be posted all over the Internet right above the words FedEx University.

No such thing as bad publicity. Just ask Paris Hilton. Cal knows what he is doing. We need to be talked about at the end of the season to get that 1 seed. The more people talking, the higher our seed.

It's going to take more than people talking about the Tigers to get a #1 seed. First, several other teams are going to have to lose. Secondly, we're going to have to start knocking teams down from the opening tip, stepping on their throats, eating their children and taking away their beer, pop tarts and silverware.

Anyone else hear of this?

i actually did hear this at the beginning of the year...hadn't heard anything else about it after that, though.

Sidebar: I found the first instance of bad publicity. It happened in Atlanta in 1996. Richard Jewel was accused of bombing the Olympics, and until the day he died, he was known as the guy who bombed the Olympics.

No one remembers that Eric Rudolph actually did it. They remember Richard Jewel, the guy who bombed the Olympics.

That must have sucked. Kinda like you, Dave!
