Our #6 team beat our champion who beat the ACC champion who beat the Big East champion.

I like the new look to this board, BTW!

Your #6 was far better than a typical CUSA #6 team at the end of the season. I would say by the end of the year they were among the best in the conference.

Examples of typical #6 CUSA team: See Rice in 2006 (lost to Troy 41 -17) and Memphis in 2007 (lost to FAU 44 -27).

Watch out for USM next year, CUSA. Lots of talent coming back and plenty of momentum to build on from this last season.

EDIT: Oh Wait, I'm sorry, Memphis in '07 was around 2 or 3 in your conference and Rice in '06 was #2. They weren't the #6 teams.

I know that CUSA is somewhat of a strong conference, but do you all really think you can handle a SEC school or and ACC school. I know CUSA would have a tough time with some of those schools. I would rather you all play at MWC or a WAC school in the bowl game.

well we appreciate your concern Cougar, but i think we can "handle" a mid-tier BCS team. thank you for looking out for us, you know we don't know much about football down here in the lowly Sun Belt. hahaha. 03-wink

I'm pretty sure one of the better Sun Belt teams in the conference could hold it's own against a team from the SEC or ACC. I'm not saying they will give Florida or VT a run for their money, but a team similar in stature to the one CUSA plays in the Liberty Bowl would be a good game for the SBC #1 or #2.

We have six and possibly seven bowls. Actually if you count back up deals we could have 8 or 9. Keep in mind also that out #6 team beat your champion.

Your #6 team beat your champion... 01-wingedeagle

You ever notice how the Conf USA fans always fail to mention that?03-banghead

If CUSA gets 7 bowls, they won't fill them all. Sure as heck won't be putting 8-9 teams in bowl games. The SEC puts 8-9 teams in bowl games. CUSA won't be able to pull that off.

C-USA shouldn't be allowed to gobble up all those bowls. they deserve 5, but no more. the Sun Belt deserves 3 without a doubt.
