You did find one. Congrats, if there is one there are probably more. I would not include Auburn, however; they are one of many schools who do not publish any requirements based on test scores only that they use those entrance tests as a criteria along with other factors.


I have nothing against Troy, in fact I think they have done extremely well for themselves and the conference. I do wonder about and question Troy's football recruiting tactics. Whether you are counting last years gray shirts or not, it appears that Troy still has 41 players for a maximum of 25 slots.

When you continually over sign like Troy, it means ultimately that a lot of players are not qualifying or that the school is just not honoring their commitments to the athletes. I wonder how in the world with all these players being placed in jucos and/or grayshirted that Troy can guarantee any of these athletes that they will have a place at the University if they do eventually qualify.

the Sun Belt Conference, and more importantly the NCAA, has not even hinted that it is interested in looking into this. obviously nothing has been done wrong. TROY has an abnormal number of signees, but there must be a reason for that because it is being allowed.

Like I've posted before, Troy didn't sign 41 players. Rivals added the grayshirts from the 2008 class and they aren't supposed too. The person who updated the site saw them on the official Troy list not realizing they were grayshirts from the 2008 class, made player profiles for them because they didn't have any 2009 profiles FOR A REASON, and added them to the list. Also, Dontavious Pyron was added twice.

All in all, taking off the grayshirts and the extra profile for Dontavious Pyron gives Troy it's ACTUAL amount of 34, which is a normal amount considering Troy had leftover scholarships from last season from recruits not qualifying and a few will have to take the JUCO route.

right. some of our MTSU friends have been talking about how these few extras we sign each time will come back to bite us. i guess if it does we'll admit they were right, but for now i'm enjoying our success.

They've been saying every year that our JUCO recruiting is going to hurt us at some point... since that hasn't happened I guess they're trying to find something else that will be Troy's downfall?

Troy's recruiting is so bad that is enables the Trojans to win the SunBelt three consecutive times and go to bowls in two of three years (missing a bowl with an 8-4 record in 2006).
