He's got it backwards. The reason they have better coaches and players than we do is because they are a BCS school and therefore can afford better coaches and facilities which in turn lead to better players.
Until the University leads the way in committment to the football program it's silly to expect any better than the result of yesterday's game. What is TW's record against BCS schools? 2-13 or 2-14 now?
What did Rip do? 1 win against UT in 6 years? So we have.....3 wins in 14-15 years?

Yeah, but we still have the comparable speed and talent to the rest of C-USA but still can't seem to beat them consistently either.

Just out of curiosity, what was Stobarts record against the future BCS schools? Yes, I know he lost some against teams he should have beaten. Any of Stobarts last 3 teams would have eaten TW's last 3 teams for breakfast. And yes, I know Stobart is never going to be at Memphis again.

(
9-18 is what I come up with (I'm not including Louisville or Cincinnati who are now in BCS conferences)
89 - Beat Vandy (lost to Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Miss.State and Florida State)
90 - 0 wins against BCS (lost to Mississippi, Miss. State and Florida State)
91 - Beat USC and Mississippi State (lost to Mississippi, Mizzou, Tennessee and Alabama)
92 - Beat Arkansas (lost to Mississippi, Miss. State and Tennessee)
93 - Beat Miss. State, Arkasnas and Mississippi (lost to Miami)
94 - Beat Arkansas and Mississippi (lost to Miss. State and Tennessee)

RE: Our fearless leader
So I guess our lack of BCS speed and talent wasn't a factor when we played Louisville but conveniently it was when playing USF? Another great excuse, Tommy.
Maybe by this time next year you will have "gotten the team ready" for the bowl game against some other bottom dweller team, if we are lucky enough to go 6-6. Will someone please win the lottery so we can buy this "coach" of ours out?
