i was watching jim cramer earlier and he said Visa's IPO is going public march 19th or 20th, under the symbol 'V.' He likened it to master card (which went public in 2006 and has soared). He said you should fight to get into this, and go call your broker this week. i might try to get in.

I got back in MBI for 1000 at 14.00. Just went another 500 at 13.00. I was out completely at 15.32. Just got pulled back in. BUy the dips, sell the rallies. I also bought 80 more shares of Mosaic at 111.

I will hit that Visa IPO later this month too for a short term pop. I'm the drive-by trader. I sell the news buy the dips. It works for me. I have a GREAT GREAT play in late APril with Cedar Fair. I'll gaurantee you at least 2 thousand.

well, if you say get in at the beginning of april, i'll be there.

Here's how I do it. Cedar Fair pays a great dividend in comparison to price. I get in a week or two before the x-date. You get the dividend plus the majority of people just re-invest their dividend when it pays out. Usually the 15th of that month. The stock generally goes up a buck or two. You get out within the week following the pay-off date. Money in the bank! Sounds simple, yet very profitable. 58 million shares. 47.5 cents a share. Probably 80% of people reroll their dividend. That's roughly 20 million dollars going back into that stock that week. Easy Easy money Mon Frer.

I'm reading some stuff where Municipalities are foregoing their muniinsurance entirely. The bonds are EVEN cheaper without the insurance. I'm might get out of MBI with this development. I'll take a shave and a Haircut, but I'm going to minimize my exposure here. I'll keep 500 shares to see what happens, but I'm getting rid of 67% of my holdings on the next rally.

damn, how much are you buying? if you wanna make $2000, you gotta be buying a few thousand shares.

800 shares will do the trick. You get 400 dollars in div. and it will go up at least 2 bucks.

Picked up Bear Stearns at $4.55...Wish I had the guts to pull the trigger below $3. But a nice 2 day gain. I am waiting for that interest rate cut to happen this afternoon see if it shoots up even more. Then prob sell if it does. I just want to make sure I don't lose this 50+% profit.

I'm ready for another bank stock to sink now.

truth is any of these financials are probably good longterm investments as long as they surivive this mess.

I dumped ABK and MBI. Picked up 125 shares of MOS at 95. I have a sell in at 111.15. When I sell I'll put in a buy in the 101 range.

We Need to get a new forum for investment stuff...More people would join I bet, (Know a few UC fans that are game). Just so we don't have to keep posting in the same thread. Hell the new board would get more use than the golf board does. Seems like a win to me.
