Another Potential Recruit
From Scout:
"Stanford is still in the process of trying to decide if they will admit me," Kumar Davis said. "I was a little late with my application and they are still evaluating my essay. So I really have to visit UMass in case Stanford doesn't accept me. But UMass hasn't offered me yet." Davis plans to visit Massachusetts this Saturday with his father.
Kumar Davis, the 5-foot-11, 205-pound two-star safety/tailback from Eastside High School in Paterson, N.J., remains unsigned and plans to visit Massachusetts this Saturday with his father.
"Stanford is still in the process of trying to decide if they will admit me," Davis said. "I was a little late with my application and they are still evaluating my essay. So I really have to visit UMass in case Stanford doesn't accept me. But UMass hasn't offered me yet.
"My other offer is from Vanderbilt but I never officially visited them (scheduled for Jan. 18)," said the Scout.com two-star safety. "They haven't talked with me about visiting lately. The other school I might visit is Eastern Michigan the weekend after this, but nothing is set yet.
"Stanford hasn't given me any feedback yet about whether they will accept me or not," Davis said. "I'll just wait until they give me an answer. I want to wait and see what Stanford decides because I'll most likely sign with them if I am accepted. I still want to see Umass, though."
Davis reports a 3.4 core GPA and a 1020 two-part SAT.

RE: Another Potential Recruit
I find it very interesting that this kid has a very good GPA but still has to wait until his essay is reviewed by Stanford before he can get accepted.
Tough job for Harbaugh.
