BSU in line for three ESPN games

The Idaho Statesman | Edition Date: 06-10-2004
ESPN is looking at nationally televising three Boise State football home games this season, but nothing is finalized, according to BSU, ESPN and WAC officials.

The three opponents are Oregon State, BYU and Hawaii. All games currently are scheduled for Saturdays but would be moved to Friday nights.

"We're not finalized, but those are the three games that ESPN is targeting," said Jeff Hurd, a senior associate commissioner of the WAC.

Oregon State, the only team to defeat the Broncos last season, would play on the blue turf Sept. 10 if the deal is approved.

BYU, a Mountain West Conference school that was buried by BSU in Provo, Utah, last season on ESPN, is expected to play in Boise on Sept. 24.
