"appreciation lunch"?
I just got a call from an NIU rep wanting to meet up for lunch to show "appreciation" for being a season ticket holder as well as to push the HASF. supposedly they want to go out and meet people to let them know what direction and plans they have for NIU athletics. anyone get this call or am i being duped? I do realize they'll probably try to heavily push the HASF. But, hey lunch is lunch

I got a call like this around the time of the Iowa SF game. Turns out I was busy, but I wasn't too interested anyway in increasing my donation, which is already considerable. They are reaching out to people, which is admirable. However, many people may not feel comfortable talking money face-to-face, where it is more difficult to turn them down. But, this is really the way to do fundraising, and I applaud them for their efforts.

I had HASF take a group of us out to lunch once. They weren't pushy at all.

Excellent news. They need to create the excitement that will make people want to give. Finally, things seem to be moving in the right direction with the HASF group. Kudos to them. 04-bow

Coils, they obviously feared your Terminator-like visage and were happy to get through lunch alive.
