Does the WAC have a winning football tradition?

I mean: Do the current successful teams like Fresno and Boise and UTEP have overall winning records or are they just short term winners!

How about the new teams coming into the WAC next year?

Like Idaho, they are miserable now, but do they have a winning tradition?

You could call the WAC a conference of Winners!! Football tradition is very strong with 8 out 9 teams (2005 configeration) with overall winning records!

Only Idaho has a losing tradition in Football.

Another link for all D1A teams by winning percentage.

Boise State ranked 11th all time!!!

The Broncos have won National Championships at all levels below D1A!

Utah State 468 Wins to 438 Losses.

Things in Logan better get turned around fast or in 3 to 5 years the Aggies will have an overall losing record. 03-banghead

San Jose State is on shaky ground too!!!!

I am surprised that Idaho still has an all-time losing record after all those successfull years in d1aa!!!!

Looks like Bulldogs and Broncos have always been strong in football. They must have really spoiled fans.

Yes, I quess we BSU fans are spoiled. Though we have had some tough times, including our head coach (Pockey Allen) dying during the season. And one of our players (Paul Reyana sp.) dying on the field after hitting his head on the turf.
We have also had a few loosing seasons (the last after coach Allen's death). But overall we have had a lot of winning seasons. In fact percentage wise we are one of the most winnin teams in all of college football. I think we are third in the nation just behind Oklahoma and Miami.
And as was stated above we have one the Jr. College National Championship, Division 2 National Championship, the IAA National Championship. And several 1A conference championship since we joined the ranks of 1A in 1996. In all we are very blessed and or somewhat lucky. But our fans a genearla very gracious in victory, but it has been a while since we had to be gracious in defeat (at home anyway). I hope we are proud in defaeat.[COLOR=blue][COLOR=blue][FONT=Times]
