1) UTEP-Big win over Arizona St and a loss to Southern Illinois is nothing to be ashamed of
2) Hawaii-S. Illinois now knows how the WAC feels when we have to play a game and then make that long flight to Hawaii to play a game 48 hours later.
3) Rice-Lafayette has 2 wins over the WAC this year
4) Nevada-SEC Road win was nice. Getting smoked by 30+ on national TV was not very nice
5) SMU-Nice road win over Montana State. Oklahoma State's a tough matchup
6) Fresno-Their road win over ETSU is the 2nd most impressive win by a WAC team so far
7) LaTech-Have not been impressive
8) Tulsa-Still don't know what to make of this team
9) SJSU-Already have more road wins than they did all of last year, 1.
10) Boise State-When you lose to a team who has never ever beaten a Division 1 opponent you deserve the #10 ranking, at least for a week.

I for one always appreciate your effort on this, renopack.

We'll find out a little more about Tulsa tonight. We play at Arkansas. Might be good, might be not so good. :(

Thanks. To be honest the only reason I've done it is because this board seems to have drastically slowed down over the last few weeks. I'm just trying to get some conversation going.

Good luck against the Razorbacks!

Here's hoping the 'Cane goes all Lord of the Flies on those pigs. :saber:

Rice has a tough one tonight against UH... Penders seems to be getting those Coogs into good shape. I'm mighty glad this game is at Autry.

Good OOC luck to all WAC teams! 04-cheers

(would've edited previous post, but this board won't let me)

And yes, Renopack - thanks for the analysis!

Thanks to you both. Hope we represent against the Hogs.

Good luck to the Owls, Laura. Any game at Autry with the Blue Curtain of Death is definitely an advantage.

All fear the <span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:blue'>BLUE CURTAIN!!!!</span></span>

I think we need to send a picture of the Blue Curtain of Death along on road games. Or get a slide projector and beam it up on the wall. That'd be good for a couple extra points a game. :D

Kudos, Renopack... I do think you're a bit generous to Hawaii still. Hawaii has always won at home... we'll merit that ranking if we win on the road this weekend in St. Louis. Even against mediocre/bad teams, Hawaii has lost a lot of blowouts on the road... here's hoping this year's team is different.

You're probably right. I just felt that Rice and Nevada had played themselves out of the top 2 so Hawaii gets the nod this week.

Based on last night, UTEP better hope that Rivera stays healthy this year because they are not the same team without him.

Rice had a nice win last night against a solid Houston team.
