My dad gave a co-worker one of our extra Terp tickets. He's a Michigan fan, first year teacher from Michigan actually, he was going crazy cause people kept talking about it all evening.

Damn, Wiki was updated rather quickly.

Quote:On September 1, 2007, the Appalachian State football team played their season opener at the University of Michigan, which was the most-attended ASU football game in history. Appalachian State beat Michigan 34-32 and became the first Division 1-AA/FCS football team to defeat a Division 1-A/FBS team ranked in the AP poll. [8]

Im usually not a big east supporter but the big east jokes should stop. They have 3 legit teams that can pretty much hang with anyone in the country. Greg Schiano is a great coach and I think Rutgers will have staying power.

How many of you guys think the D-1AA teams are thinking to themselves the season's over? 05-stirthepot

Keep in mind, I don't think it's because UM sucks, I just think Appalachian State is that damn good, at least for D-1AA. Could the play with that success in the SEC, ACC, Big East, C-USA, etc.? Probably not.

RE: Upset Alert-Michigan?
Well, I guess we will find out in the coming weeks when we see how Michigan fares against the rest of its opponents, starting with Oregon next week. Its not like they whipped Michigan they held them off in a game that was fairly close throughout.
