4th Commitment for Boise State for 2008
Boise State has received their 4th verbal commitment this week for the 2008 football recruiting class. The 4th HS football player to commit to Boise State is another local Boise, ID., player. His name is Spencer Gerke. He plays for the Catholic HS here in Boise, i.e., Bishop Kelly HS (where Boise State has gotten a number of other HS prospects including the starting LG for BSU Tad Miller).

Gerke has been a standout at Bishop Kelly HS as a defensive end but also plays on the offensive line for Bishop Kelly HS. And Boise State is recruiting him as an 0-lineman rather than as a DE. He weighs only 245 lbs presently so he's going to have to put on probably at least 40 lbs to play on the 0-line at Boise State.
