Upcoming Football Season Questions
Lets start with two questions:

How is Andy Schmitt healing? Will he be ready?

What is Clint Allen's eligibility status? He's a potential impact player on defense or offense but only if he's eligible.

RE: Upcoming Football Season Questions
ALLEN IS LISTED AS A 6'1" 208 LB WR ON THE PRE SEASON ROSTER . HE IS NOT LISTED ON THE DEPTH CHART ANYWHERE, PROBABLY BECAUSE HE HAS NOT BEEN ELIGIBLE UNTIL NOW.

DON'T KNOW ABOUT SCHMITT BUT WISH HIM WELL. I AM NOT A JONES FAN AT THIS POINT.

HEARD THAT THE STAFF IS REALLY HIGH ON FOX AT WR - SOMEONE HAS TO STEP UP AT THAT POSITION. GRAHAM DID DURING THE SPRING GAME AND I'M HOPING IT WASEN'T A ONE TIME PERFORMANCE.

GAGE WILL BE A PERMANENT WR AND PUNT AND KICK-OFF RETURNER WHERE HE EXCELLED IN HS.

HOPE LEWIS STEPS UP.

THE BACKFIELD DEPTH CHART SHOWS WALKER, GAGE AND BLEVINS IN THAT ORDER ENTERING THE FALL SESSIONS.

WE CERTAINLY COULD USE A GAME BREAKER OR TWO AT RB OR WR.

RE: Upcoming Football Season Questions
My questions are Schmitt (if he isn't nearly 100% the season will be over before it begins) and

secondly, why did Eastern schedule homecoming for the Oct 27 game?

Most schools don't like to have homecoming in September, BUT come Oct 27:

a). The weather is frequently bad. 03-hissyfit

b). EMU could be say 2 - 6 and that would be a damper.

45 degrees, 15 MPH wind and a 2 - 6 record = bummer crowd.

Sept 22 is early and Howard isn't a quality opponent, but it works.

A reliable source has told me that Priest is the likely starter at RB.
