What Cubs fans do you talk to? The vast majority of fans have been ripping this team for a while. Go to any bar and listen to a conversation, check out the Cubs message board. There is very few fans who say this team is going far.
Many, including myself, have hope that they will win the NL Central because it's such a ****** division, but not much will be happening after that. I hate to say it, but the Cubs have ALOT better shot at making the playoffs then the Sox.
Changes need to be done to make this team a contender. I hope those changes can get done before the trade deadline before the team is out of the race.

zambrano calling out barrett before the melee makes me like him. who could blame Z for snapping? the defense did absolutely nothing to help him out, and its been like that all season. the guy isn't pitching good by any means, but the defense behind him looks like a high school defense. the guy is playing for his next contract, and i can only imagine how he feels as the dollars on the contract are dwindling with every missed catch, passed ball, etc.
