I think we've gone over this at least a million times lately, but this is what I think should happen (with predictions changing if things happen between now and the end of the season):

1st Team:

Jason Williams
Mike Dunleavy
Juan Dixon
Anthony Grundy
Darius Songaila

Comments: I think they might replace Songaila with Boozer, because it's hard to argue against Boozer's stats. I was hoping that maybe he would kind of fade away in ACC play and let Williams and Dunleavy take over, but he's stepped up and put up some big numbers. Boozer could also take Grundy's place.

2nd Team:

Carlos Boozer
Roger Mason Jr.
Travis Watson
Lonny Baxter
Josh Howard

Comments: Waayy too many big men. But since they dont do it on posistion, I think these are the next 5 most deserving guys. I think Boozer is the only guy that could make the jump to the 1st team, putting either Grundy or Songaila on the 2nd team.

3rd Team:

Kris Lang
Jason Capel**
Tony Akins
Chris Wilcox
Chris Duhon

Comments: I'm skeptical about that 3rd team. Although UNC's season has been a huge dissapoint, Capel and Lang have put up good numbers. I dont see either one being left off of All-ACC. But neither is good enough to make 2nd team (Lang might have a chance). Chris Wilcox is talented enough to be on the 2nd team, but he's only averaging 11 or 12 pts this year, which puts him on 3rd team. He's also a sophomore, so voters know that he'll be on the 1st team next year (if he stays). You could make an argument for Akins to be left off, but he's been GT's go-to player, and he's a 5-10 point guard. He's been carrying the load for GT this year, and I think he deserves it. You have to put Duhon on there. I hope he doesn't get 2nd team, because he doesn't deserve it. It'll be interesting to see if Dahntay Jones gets in on the 3rd team. I think the voters wont put all 5 startking dookies on there, but you never know.

Freshmen Team:

Julius Hodge (ROY)
Jawad Williams
Josh Powell
Ed Nelson
Anthony Richardson

Comments: Hodge, Williams, and Powell have the best stats, so they're automatic. Nelson and Richardson are similar in their statistsics, and they've pretty much been in the spotlight for struggling teams. You could make a case for Evtimov from State, because he's been playing very lately. I think that he's one of the top 5 freshmen in the league, but he's had some bad games and didn't start off the season too well. However, the voters might put him on there and take off either Nelson or Richardson. I wonder if they'll put 3 State guys on the team. Powell might also get bumped off, but his stats are pretty good, he just hasn't been playing as well lately.

COY - Herb Sendek (as long as he beats GT and UNC)

POY - Juan Dixon (if the Terps win the ACC tourney, Williams if Duke beats Maryland and he has a strong game)

**(Note...I just looked at my All-ACC and realized I didn't have Steve Blake on there. As much as I dislike him, he is an All-ACC point guard...so take Capel off and put Blake on 3rd team.)

I would put Scott from Clemson somewhere on third team. He's an assist machine!

Evtimov has a great chance of being on the rookie team. He just needs to have two good games against UNC and Wake and a solid showing the the ACC Tourney and he's a lock. (He's my personal favorite freshman)

I also think Evtimov should be heavily considered for Rookie 'O the Year IMHO....

I'll have to agree with PhDeac on this one.

Vytas has been playing very well in the 2nd half of the ACC. He's gonna end up being a really really good player at Wake.

I guess he gets the nod over Powell, but I still wouldn't be surprised if Powell made it. He was a media darling at the beginning of the year. I still think his averages are close to 10 points and 6 rebounds. I could be wrong, but last I checked they were around that.

Tony Akins is a LOCK for at least second team. He has carried Tech on his shoulders.
