Sarah and Paul being able to post as they do has abo****ely NOTHING to do with Paul's position as an administrator of this site. I just have a problem with sharing way too much info, etc. It may very well be "joking"...but in my opinion, it's still in poor taste. BTW, LK, respect is something you earn...not something that is automatically given. If you had read my first post thoroughly, you would have seen that it said say "apparent" abuse of power. Look at the way Nate and another guy (can't remember which s/n) got jumped when Sarah took a JOKE the wrong way. I'm not saying that DT abused his power...but I am saying that the APPEARANCE that god only knows what could be done to your account if you pissed him off is not a good thing, is it?

LilRed - You claimed that the only reason Sarah and Paul are able to post the way they do is because of Paul's position, which was a factually inaccurate statement.

There are 2 fundamental problems with your accusation:

1) Even as admins we are not free to post whatever the hell we want. In fact I think the administrators hold back from posting some of the more unsavory stuff simply because we don't wish to set a bad example.

2) The content of the posts by PnS414 are not prohibited by this site, which renders your point about Paul's status completely moot. Since none of the admins even deem their posts worthy of scorn and punishment, then how does Paul's status matter at all?

If you find what they post to be something you don't want to read and wish to complain that is fine. We aren't going to stifle the voice of dissent. There are much better fights to pick on these boards though.

The reasons for his eventual punishment and demotion from administrator was due to a series of events. The decision was made by all of the admins and was unanimous. The incident with Sarah did nothing more than finally make us realize that action had to be taken.

2) Has Paul ever given you a specific reason to think he may abuse his power in the way you mention? You should at least have a leg to stand on if you plan to make an accusation like that. I am not speaking for Paul on this. I am speaking for all the Admins. I take accusations such as yours very seriously and unless you have some evidence to back up your unfounded claims I think you would do well to find a different topic to discuss on these boards.

Respect certainly is something you earn, and you are seriously mistaken if you think that Paul has not earned the respect of the people that post on these boards. These boards would not exist without the work he has done. Be mindfull of that when you decide to accuse him of abusing his power.

LK, you have some very valid points. I don't have the time right now to respond properly, however, my opinions have not changed. The Nate incident to which I was referring to was the one in which he asked if they could keep the PM notices to a minimum, after there had been a huge discussion about it earlier. I have no idea what he did to get demoted, or how it had anything to do with Sarah, I was simply referring to that one post. My "leg to stand on" in regards to all this is DT's actions on those two posts that I had referenced earlier. I DID NOT say that he had done anything improper, I said that SOME of his actions could lead to the APPEARANCE of impropriety. Maybe it's because I come from a military background that this "appearance of impropriety" is important to me, but personally, if you hold a position of power, there should be no questioning--in the slightest sense--of your personal integrity. Soley in the case of his relationship with Sarah does that credibility waver in my eyes, and that is what I was referring to. Yes...I think that some of their posts (while allowed) are in poor taste. I will stand by that, and I will continue to stand by the fact that at times DT's views are biased by his relationship with Sarah.
