Even though I'm an SEC fan, I can tell that the ACC has made improvements to catch up with the SEC. Even though SouthLink doesn't like to hear me say it, I think NC State is turning into a legitimate powerhouse. I'd love for NC State to have a stadium like UGa's or Auburn's. NC State should really look into that. Maryland is kinda like LSU (during the Spurrier years) right now. The state has football talent, and the Terps are just starting to really reel that talent in before an out of state program grabs it. They seem to have a mental block vs F$U (just like LSU used to having a mental block vs UF) but can beat just about everybody else. As much as I hate F$U, they are to the ACC what Alabama was/is to the SEC: a traditional heavyweight. VT will be the ACC's UGa. Just watch. Wake Forest reminds somewhat of Kentucky: former doormat that can play some good football from time to time. When Miami comes in, they will be to the ACC what UF was to the SEC back under the Spurrier years. If you ACC folks think you hate F$U, just wait until the 'Canes come calling. It's kinda hard to really compare UVa with any SEC team. The student population has a lot in common with Vanderbilt, but the team is kinda remiscient of Auburn. GT and Ole Miss are about equal. Can any ACC fans or SEC fans draw any more comparisions?
Plus, if you to pair up each team for an SEC-ACC football challenge, how you would do it?

No offense to the Ole Miss folks... but GT is oozing tradition... and will be back to Top 25 form before too long.

Ole Miss would kill Tech right now. And UT would top FSU too IMHO.

I disagree about VT beating Fla, and WF over USC is a stretch, are all these teams playing this year or what, homefield will play a part as well!

Ok.. going on GTS's matchups... how I'd see it

Miami vs. Georgia - Miami - ACC 1-0
NC State vs. Alabama (Though I think Alabama is lower down the ladder) NC State - ACC 2-0
Maryland vs. Auburn - Auburn - ACC 2-1
Virginia vs. Arkansas - Arkansas - Tied 2-2
Va. Tech vs. Florida - Va. Tech - ACC 3-2
Ga. Tech vs. Ole Miss - I'd say Ole Miss - Tied 3-3
FL State vs. Tennessee - Tennessee - SEC 4-3
Duke vs. Vanderbilt - Vandy's destroyed Duke last few years.. Vandy - SEC 5-3
Wake Forest vs. S. Carolina - Wake - SEC 5-4
N. Carolina vs. Kentucky - Kentucky - SEC 6-4
Clemson vs. LSU - LSU - SEC 7-4

Opposite score on this side
WPS

I know Grobe is starting to create a pretty decent program down at Wake but is South Carolina really that bad? I know they had an off year last year but is everyone really writting them off for this up coming season?

It isn't that USC is that bad... WF is that good.

Wanna ask the Ducks about this?
