You are insane. How about Duke/Kentucky and "the shot"? Not to mention "the stomp."

Let me ask everybody an honest question. If they took a poll in America of NBA v NCAA basketball, how many actually believe that college basketball would win. Sure, where many people on this board live, college basketball would win, and it frustrates me beyond belief because most won't even glance at an NBA game. But the fact is when the NBA playoffs get down to the wire and the intensity level matches, yes matches if not surpasses a college basketball game in the tournament, the brilliance and talent level of the players in the NBA outdo college.

I used to enjoy college sports because of the lack of off the court problems, but the fact is that college sports are just as corrupt and the problems affects the lives and souls in all sports now, not just pro. The Lakers game a couple years back when Robert Horry hit the game winning three or even farther back when Larry Johnson connected on a four point play to tie the game in Madison Square Garden were unbelievable, and the intensity, passion, and heart were present in the minds of everybody watching and at the game. The intensity is there in the pros, despite common belief. The talent level is amazing, everybody on the floor can score and defend, contrary to college basketball. I love the NBA, and basketball in general, including college. But when the jerseys are on, the cowbells are ringing, and you compare June basketball to early April, the NBA has heart, and no stubborn mind can take that away.

Walk both paths before declaring one better, for the opportunities that lie for travelling both is wisdom and strength to defeat all evil and defend all freedom.

yes by saying NBA is better, I am getting rid of all evil, and defending all freedom at the same time.

I have worked in a service related job and discovered that majority of humanity is stupid. so a poll saying that most ppl like NBA more is irrelavent.

there is more passion in a regular season game between San Deigo St and Weber St then the NBA finals.

March Madness is the greatest even in sports.

in the nba you lose a game, you have 6 more games to play. in March, you lose you go home

the majority of the games in the ACC this year have been wonderful games. great comebacks, last second shots, tripple overtime. most of the games are not decided till the last 20 seconds

The Dream Shot
Gone in 54 Seconds

to have a dynasty in college is much harder to do then pro. its a different team ever year-and a completely different team every 4 years.

who wants to see Shaq and rapist boy win every stinking year? the magic of college ball is there is that a true Cinderella team can win the National Championship

can a Cardiac Pack win the NBA? no. nba will never come close to college ball-period

college basketball is much more exciting, more passion, more heart
and ACC basketball is king!

I think most people enjoy college hoops more because the NBA is too much one on one. I can watch and enjoy most any college game but when ESPN shows Seattle play Atlanta on a Friday night I would rather watch grass grow.

There are only a few NBA teams that are actually exciting to watch, Dallas, Sacramento and New Jersey are a few but a lot of the teams are just plain out boring. It does get an awful lot better in the post season though.

Why? Why convict him now? It burns inside, because the quick judgement today highlights problems not only in sports, but in the world today in general.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I am assuming that you live in the Triangle area, as do I. If you don't, I apoligize in advance for my presumption. But I must ask how many NBA Finals games you have been to, how many NBA players you have met? I had the pleasure of being an aquaintance of Hakeem Olajuwon, my favorite athlete of all time and a brilliant person. The passion with which he played the game, and the way many players play today was extraordinary. If have been to a Carolina-Duke game, two actually. One at Cameron and one at the Dean Dome. If have also been to an NBA Finals game, twice also. One in San Antonio in 1999 and one in Houston in 1994. The intensity of those games far outdid both UNC-Duke games.

"If we play 'em 10 times, they might win nine. But NOT this game." - Herb Brooks

In the NBA, this would mean nothing. "There's always tomorrow" is a lot easier to swallow than "win or go home". The better team isn't the one that can win the majority of the games. The better team is the one that can win when it counts.

both suck. College basketball has an ending which is always drawn out and has low scoring with a low talent level, and the NBA is a slow paced, low scoring, one on one game.

Intensity, no possible way. Loudness, yeah you would have a point. But there is no bitter hatred in the NBA like there is in College Basketball. Duke-UNC is almost a 100 year old rivalry. And that's only one rivalry. College basketball far outdoes the NBA in both passion, pagentry, tradition, intensity, and soul. The majority of college players have far more heart than the NBA, because they understand that there isn't always next season. They have four years and not all of them are playing for free.

Coming from a person who loves to watch baseball. You're one to talk about long and drawn out.
