Actually since ACC revenue went from less than $5 million in 81 to $53 million in 97 after adding FSU, and Tallahassee didn't significantly increase ACC's TV region, doubling or tripling revenue could be way too conservative for the Atlantic League. Doubling or tripling TV region while adding great football and basketball programs and dropping mediocre to bad ones would lead to tons more money for each A League school, right?

Since TV exposure appears to be all that matters to you, please give me your opinion as to why Duke would want to join this new league. As you mentioned yourself, their basketball team is already the most televised team in the nation....

That meant that the NCAA decided which teams would be playing. After 1984 (NCAA vs.University of Oklahoma et al.) individual schools were allowed to negotiate for TV contracts, which meant more schools ended up with games on TV (More TV Revenue). So you can't compare 1981 numbers and 1997 numbers.

I just disputed that the A League would be BETTER with CLEMSON instead of Boston College.
Guess what we can read your previous post. DO NOT CUT AND PASTE YOUR PREVIOUS POST. Try adding something new to your arguement.

Bottom line is Syracuse, BC, Miami, and Penn State are better in sports and TV markets, etc., than Wake, NCSU, and Clemson, whether the latter 3 are competitive or mediocre or horrendous or not, that's what matters along with the tremendous increases in exposure and revenue.

It's been over 4 hours since our nemesis, BlueDevil, has made an appearance to defend his fantasy. This might be as good a time as any to draw this discussion to a close.
