I don't think he's doing that bad of a job. I think he's been there for 8 years now and he's taken them to two ACC chammpionships? That's pretty solid. NCSU basketball has always been 4th in command in the state of NC anyway.

There was a time when it was second -- and pretty close to being first. Until the 90's, I think most UNC fans feared State more than any other program in NC. I would have to say that before K won his first title, State had a solid edge over Duke in basketball tradition (although it was close). Duke obviously has the edge there now.
The Sendek era reminds me of the brief Doherty era at UNC. While there have been some highs, there is no consistency to that. It's a neverending cycle of mediocrity that divides the fanbase. Unless Sendek can break through in the ACC or NCAA tournaments, I think that's all his legacy will ever be.
