Cross post from other board
Brad basically just did not show up. He has to get more aggressive inside as Bartow alluded to in the post game show.
My overall impressions. The guys did come out shaky, maybe that was due to first game jitters for some of them. The 2nd half they did play better.
Thomas really looks like the real deal. I was impressed with him in the Blue/Gold game and again last night he looked really good. Needs to watch the fouls. He should be a starter.
Pigram looked good again. Aggressive (maybe a little too much), a good shooter and a great passer. He sees the court well.
Taylor starting for Smith. You could tell he was nervous. 6 turnovers for a freshman in his first game. I can live with that. We see that from Timmy every game. He did have 8 assists to go with that and played good defense.
Keeton. Needs some polish but could be a great point guard. Didn't get a lot of PT last night but made some good passes and heads up play
Williams. A pure shooter. As he gets his stride he could be a leading scorer.
On to our returning players.
Brad just wasn't there. Don't know why, but he really didn't contribute much. Dillion was solid again. He keeps getting better and better. Should be a force in the A-Sun. Travis and Ben played solid, nothing spectacular, but the game you would expect out of them.
So overall, I was satisfied, not excited but satisfied, especially with the 2nd half. The team has a whole different flow without Timmy in there so it was hard to judge how we will stack up later on.
My new lineup that I think should start next week:
Smith, Pigram, Rhoda, Thomas, Sneed.

Where's Brad? is the question of the day. He didn't look present physically or in spirit. I saw him get muscled down low on several occasions on more than one occasion by players that shouldn't be doing that to him. He and Sneed have the potential to make for a formidable front court. I hope his lackluster play is a result of not playing for a year, because right now he completely lacks a fire in his belly.
Thomas, on the other hand, looked hungry. Not only was his production strong, he did alot of little things such as offensive rebounding and deflections. He without question would get the starting nod over Nuckles
As for the new guys--despite their rookie mistakes--looked promising. I believe we have a strong base for the future.

Nuckles is not a young man that you can motivate by standing and screaming in his face. Nuff said.
As I've posted before, I am not sure I see Nuckles returning next year. Does anyone know if he could graduate in December????

Decent showing being that we did not show much and Tim didn't play. I would like to see the defense play better and was dissapointed with Brad. If he doesn't want to play he should go to the house.
