ABSOLUTELY WRONG!!

The Ole Miss site is full of Memphis takes.

You are a mississippi fan and student.

Who gets bunched at mississippi shots on THIS board.

Uh, don't surf here.

But stop this nonsensical mississippi boards do not post about Memphis. They do. I surf other boards rarely...(did surf CUSA board before UAB dipwad banned me for dissing their attendance in an attendance thread) yet the mississippi board right now is loaded with Memphis posts.

There is always a nice contingent of mississippi fans at the Liberty Bowl for the game. Makes it fun. It is not like a mississippi home game...just a large away team contingent....as there should be....

No...

Grow up.

From MUS/CBHS to a mississippi senior and you still act like a p*@sy (pansy).

I had many unfortunate incidents like this down in Oxford.
Last year as I walked back to my car in the Loyalty foundation parking lot,( a few members work for me) I was attacked by two Ole Miss coeds. Both were complaing there frat daddy boyfriends had passed out after the third quarter. Unlike memphisrebel I began to wrestle with my assailants for the next two hours. I am happy to report that I emerged ok and relations with at least two Ole Miss coeds are much improved.

if you think I'm not telling the truth then don't reply, but to say that a crime could not happen by the liberty bowl is ridiculous. you're an idiot. by the way, go and check the crime report 1 more time.

nice try.

no need to check it. I've already looked at it. The crime that happens around the LB, happens in that neighborhood to the Southeast. The CBU parking lot is north of the stadium. So, unless you took off for the parking lot by heading down Midland, no we don't believe that someone tried to mug you in a crowd of 52k at around 3pm.

we don't have to trust fsquid, as long as we trust the public record, namely, police reports.

bonehead. :bang:

besides, from your original description of the incident, it sounds more like a drunk fan harassing an ole mrs. fan. did this/these person(s) actually take anything from you (other than your self respect)? did you report it to the police? did you press charges? i would have. they stand right on the corner directing the traffic out of the LB parking lot - no more than 100 yards from wherever you were.

"Following the loss of the Memphis game last year, I was walking out of the stadium to our car in the CBU parking lot. Of cource taunting was going on behind us (which is okay in my book). these fellows, and I'm going to call them thugs (please do not call me a racist) proceeded to mug me and my fiance at the time. With a knife to my chest, the thug replied you think you're better than me rebel. i replied no of cource. that was a long time ago.
you wanted the story."

sounds like the "mugging" was nothing more than two ignorant morons running their inebriated mouths, and somebody (albeit memphis fan) threatened with a knife. what does a mugger care that you are an ole mrs. fan (other than the fact that you probably got lots of daddy's money in your back pocket)? of course, there were probably many witnesses around as well- or did they all just vanish into thin air?

that's not a mugging, that's "your mouth wrote a check that your @$$ wasn't prepared to cash."

A little F.Y.I. The fine print on that website tells you that the information is only for the last 30 days. I don't know how having that knowledge may change the course of this conversation, but it seems only fair to point it out.

That's really funny because quite few Memphis fans feel the same way about playing ole miss. I mean really, beating ole miss ain't exactly like beating Oklahoma, Texas or any top tier sec team. Maybe back in the 50's and 60's it was a big deal but over the last 20 to 30 years ole miss is considered around the country as very minor in the grand scheme of things in college football.

So keep patting yourself on the back and thinking you have nothing to gain and everything to lose. The feeling is mutual.

GO TIGERS

you didn't seem to mention all that in the original post - seems like the most important details were left out. it made it seem a little fishy.

no, i didn't look at the police report. i don't think i can do that.

were you leaving the game really late? the CBU parking lot doesn't seem to be a good place to stake out victims. too many other people and cops around. did they catch the guy? if there were taunting fans around behind you, did nobody else see it?

highest crime rate in the nation? seems a little exagerated (though i won't argue that it isn't high).

i sure hope btiger parks in a different lot. he'd have to give up watching FB, too.

[edit] and i apologize for seeming insensitive, i just didn't believe you. i am glad you and your wife were not hurt. and if memphispolice.org only has the rates for the last thirty days, that's not fair either - since there is nothing going on down there outside of football season (for muggers anyway) a few businesses and the childrens museum, but no real draw for criminals - so i wouldn't expect there to be any crime in that area this time of year.[/edit]

never said it occurred in the cbu parking lot...(on my way back)
there were people around...
personally, i don't care if any of you believe me, because I will never meet you.
one thing is true though, I know what happened. my wife(fiance at the time) knows what happened, and yes...the memphis police dept. knows what happened
anyway, that's not why I hate memphis. it's because of fans like you who come on here and tell me what happened when you have no clue. nice try on the police report though. you must be ignorant.
