CaliCajun posted this on Delphi, figured I'd bring it over here.
* Coach Cyprien has two non-Division I schools on the schedule and Lee is going to try to replace those. He believes in an all-Division I schedule. (Hope he believes in a non-SWAC/MEAC schedule too.) He says there are other Division I programs needing games too.
* Lamar home and home.
* MAYBE Creighton at home.
* Rice at home (return for Bracket Busters).
* Georgia State at home.
* At North Carolina State
* At Vanderbilt
* In Baton Rouge tournament: Louisiana Tech, then LSU/Tulane winner
* At McNeese
* When Cyprien was fired there was one game left to schedule, so Lee needs to fill that one and try to replace those two non-Division I games.
I agree with Coach Lee. We need to get those 2 non-D1 schools off of our schedule. If we are to be competitive come NCAA Tourney time, we need to play all D1 schools. Some good matchups at home if we are lucky. Rice and Creighton would draw nice crowds and would be big wins RPI wise. The tourney at LSU is huge. I think if we win it, we can claim that we really are the best basketball team in LA (even though, everyone knows that we are :D ) Also, some revenge against NC State would be sweeeeeet!!! Good luck Coach Lee!
