Men's Hoops Tough Win at Ball State
Phew, we almost lost a close one with Ball State storming back in the second half. Nice clutch free throw shooting at the end of the game.

We now have tied the total wins from last year and only one win from matching our entire MAC win total from last year.

I remember last year that some EMU fans thought this team would collapse after losing Bowler and Danny. Street and Smith thought so.
I also had my doubts. But Rams and his staff are making believers out of me.

Great win for the Eagles on the road in Muncie. Bunkley notches career high with 22 pts including 6 threes. Medlock was solid again he is such a smooth player. Was Skip Mills injured or something I think he only had 2 pts. and did not see him out there much in the 2nd. Eastern needs to improve on the defensive glass as they had trouble on the boards when they played in the zone. Also need to get Dumes going again this kid is too talented to continue posting 0's.

My Assesment of a quality win today.

Bunkley not only scored 22 but he defensed Mills all day. A total performance for the JuCo from Mott CC. A nice irony, Bunkley shot an air ball early in the 1st period and the Cardinal faithful really gave him an earful. He went on from there to fill up the basket and stifle one of BSU's top players. It's nice to have the last laugh. lol lol lol I hope Bunkley enjoys it.

A couple of other observations. The Eagles were outrebounded again today but only by one (35-34). They were huge on the defensive boards grabbing 24. The scoring wasn't as distributed as usual. Bunkley (22) and Medlock (14) carried the load with a combined 36 pts. Knaub and Dobbins each contribted 6 each and Cashen and Bowdry chipped in 4 a piece.

Matthews
Where was James Matthews? Why didn't he play?

It's nice to see us winning on the road. Earlier I thought there was a ton of potential on this team for the future, but now i'm thinking that we could do well this year and maybe make a run at the MAC West.
