It should be a very interesting tournament for both the men and the women. I think the women's in particular is very wide open. In the Men's tournament you have to consider UL the favorite but there are several teams that could get hot and win out.

I can't remember off hand the last time I didn't attend at least some portion (if not the entire) Sun Belt men's tourney. Unfortunately, I can't make it this year. Of course, should the Privateers advance to Tuesday night, I will most likely be in my car bright and early that morning heading up that way. :)

I'd go, but I'm a poor college student, and getting to Bowling Green is a b&*^. I hope future tournaments are held only at schools near major airports/cities (eg. next year at North Texas).

Hey now WKU is only 65 miles from Nashville Tenn, so we are close to a major airport. :crying:

As you said next year is at North Texas, the following year the tournament is being co-hosted by MTSU and WKU. From what I have heard the tournament will be played in Nashville, TN at the Gaylord Events Center. The GEC is home to the NHL's Predators and has played host to many basketball games and tournaments including the SEC Tournament, NCAA Tournament, OVC Tournament, and numerous regular season games. WKU has played a game there the past several seasons and will continue to do so in the upcoming future. It's a really nice arena and it's located in a city with numerous things to do in spare time.

I'm glad to hear about co-hosting in a couple of years with MTSU at Gaylord. This makes sense. Plus, it may even help attendance figures somewhat since it would be easier to get some walk-in traffic to the games.

(I'd go, but I'm a poor college student, and getting to Bowling Green is a b&*^. )

It's easy to get to BG. Just less than an hour from Nashville airport to BG. I've been to metro areas where it was as long to get to a motel from an airport either in the city or in the burbs. Flew to L.A. this summer and it took more than an hour to get from airport to my motel.
