Amstutz lucked out on this one. I still can't beleive he passed up that chip shot FG.

Despite those crappy PI calls at the end, this win is all on the defense.

Not on the last two calls against him. He wasn't in the same zip code on any of the other completions to get flagged. Walky needs to work with him big time.

It was a W like it or not. We stuck to our guns, or lack there of offensively.
Our D was GREAT again, just like soooo many times this year.
I am again proud of our Rockets, what a great win.
What a topsy turvey MAC it is.

That means that I'd have to suffer through an additional game this year. I'd rather call it a season after kicking BG's azz. ;-)

I'd feel great about next year if our QB could hit Lake Erie.

With the last two games in the Glass Bowl it is DOABLE!

The defense has been playing better and better. If the O would have moved the chains for two more first downs the Huskies would have never been in a position to win the game.

Another factor is Garrett Wolfe has to be injuried - he was no where near himself. When he doesn't get 100 yards against Temple something's going on.

We may need to install the option or put Collins under center, so he can get some touches.

Yeah--the taste of victory is supposed to be sweet, but this one kind of tastes like sweet crap.

Thanks, I guess...we'll take it, but it wasn't anything to get excited about. We really showed the country what MAC football is all about. ;-)

A couple positives to take away from the game: No one knows how bad it was because no one could see how bad it was, and the attendance was 45,000. For all anyone knows. ;-)

Thanks nnhsniuhuskies37

There's no way Garrett Wolfe is not playing hurt. My guess is that his stress fracture from the OSU game is doing nothing but getting worse. The only cure for it is time off . . . and he hasn't missed a game. I think, based on his performance last night and the three previous games, he is playing on pride and determination.

I know you lost another running back for the season but are there no other backs who can carry the ball? Of course your OL would have to open holes - they have not been healthy for some time and are being overmatched by up to nine defenders in the box. I do give them credit for doing a good job of pass protection in the second half.

What amazed me is the Huskies defense's inablity to stop the Rockets ground game until our last two possessions. NIU has been extremely good in defending the run - I was pleasantly surprised to see the Rockets ground out 232 yards and keep control of the game.
