I guess the reason many take await and see approach is because alot can change during the player's Senior year, namely injuries. An early season injury can drop your stock real quick. I will definetly be following LaTerryal Savoy this coming football season.

Any thing happening down there in the recruiting picture? I read about schools are on the manhunt, but I haven't heard anthing about the cajuns lately. It sure is a lot of goog talent around the Lafayette area this year! I hope that I can read about a real good athlete that is coming to UL real soon.

spoke too soon (from Dandy Don)

In other recruiting news, Laterryal Savoy of Mamou committed to play for Michigan Tuesday afternoon. Michigan's was the first offer that Savoy received. They made their offer over six weeks ago. Savoy's commitment caught many people in Mamou by surprise because he is being recruited by LSU. I am not sure if Savoy will be offered by Coach Saban because he is recruiting several high profile out-of-state wide receivers who list LSU as their top choice. If Coach Saban is not happy with how recruiting is going with wide receivers late in the recruiting period, I look for Saban to make a late successful push to sign Savoy.

The reason it surprised many in Mamou he committed to michigan is because Mamou has a strong LSU following. Mamou is my where I was born and raised and I can tell you that their is a group who are at all LSU football games as well as baseball games a sign about the Mamou group made it on tv when the Tigers were in Omaha.
I do believe if Saban came calling that Savoy would switch his committment.

Thanks for the information that I didn't want to hear . It seems like it is always bad news. He must be good if Michigan want's him.
