I heard someone call in to "Bird's Eye View" this afternoon and say that Digger Phelps (ESPN) had chosen us as his 3 seed vs. 14 seed upset team. Let's hope he's right!

Five in double figures...sounds like they spread it around. Run and gun? We're a more methodical offense, but will break given the opportunity. Our half-court O keeps getting referred to as "the Princeton O"...which it isn't. It is derivative of the "PO", but we do things like curls to free up shooters that isn't part of the "PO". Everybody shoots the three if open. Everybody. Sometimes very effectively, sometimes not.

Your leading FT shooter is at 82%. How about the team. We shoot right at 80% as a team. You don't want to be behind late against the Pack and be forced to foul.

Our D is man-to-man, with a lot of help. No outstanding shot blocker, just good team D. We will mix in a little zone under special circumstances, but rarely.

The losses were all close with the exception of NO and GT. Wish you had gotten Zona.

Speaking of New Orleans, how's Towe doing as their coach? Don't get a lot of info on the Sunbelt up this way.

Team FT % is 69% Our teams sound very similiar. If I did not know better I would have thought you were describing the Cajuns. Team does much better in transition than half court, we seem to live and die by the 3 point shot in half court. However, they were forced to play have court in the conference championship and still won. We have no 1 go-to-guy seems a different player steps up each time. Should be a good game.

The Georgia Tech loss was the 1st game of the season and we had 4 ineligible players 03-puke and got waxed on national TV. The UNO loss they simply beat us. The only home loss was to South Alabama.
Don't know much about Monty Towe except that UNO had a great run in our tourney and if they were a little deeper would be very tough night in and night out.

We're better in the half-court. We only break if we really get out on you, like off a TO...rarely off the rebound.

Since you guys spread it around and there is no particular go-to guy, look for Sherrill (if he can play) or Bennerman to pick up whoever gets hot for you...unless he gets hot in the paint. Scooter and Cam are both 2 guards, but are our stoppers.

We shoot a lot of threes, also. But if the cuts are working we'll take it inside. If we start getting a lot of points in the paint, look out, because when you adjust we start going inside out, rather than our usual outside in....when that happens we're playing our best.

That explains the GT loss. Too bad. 03-wink I wasn't going to say anything but I liked that margin.

Hope Monty gets it done down there. He's one of ours.
