if Greene and Williams do not come back (and if they do not want to follow the team rules I could care less if they come back) then we have a roster that currently looks like this
11 Chris Cameron F/C 6-11 256 So.
13 Alphonso Williams G 6-2 193 So.
15 Chris Cucchiara G 6-2 175 r-Fr.
22 Ross Mouton G/F 6-7 189 Fr.
23 Dwayne Mitchell G 6-4 204 So.
30 Matt Foster G 6-7 205 r-Fr.
31 Rhett Hebert G 6-1 165 Fr.
34 Adam James F/C 6-9 252 Fr.
45 Brian Hamilton F 6-6 186 Jr.
** Tirus Wade F/G 6-6 195 Jr.
Immediate needs: 2 point guards, 1 or 2 shooting guards and at least 1 C/F. If we had to go with what we have today (which of course we will not) starting 5
PG Dwayne Mitchell
SG Tirus Wade
PF Brian Hamilton
SF Ross Mouton
C Chris Cameron
off the bench? Matt Foster and Adam James .
We will need immediate help.

SwampFox, I was told the other nite at the baseball game by a source very close to the staff that we will sign four athletes . When I asked this person how we had four scholarships to offer, he stated do to unforseen circumstances. The writting was on the wall for the two suspended. Both will have all summer and fall to get eligible, but I'm not to confident in Williams. The Cajuns do have a commitment from the 6-4 guard Barrow from Southern Lab. I was also told that they will sign 6-3 All-State Guard Derek Gray. Gray averaged 29.0 pts a game as a senior.

I really hope that the cajuns can get Matthew Barrow from Southern Lab. After watching him play he reminds me of Laurie Bridges with a much better offensive game.

I just hope we can get some eligible people, b/c we're going to need all the bodies we can get with all the problems with grades. Don't forget next year, at the beginning of the season we might have a few who aren't eligible, so we'll need to get a good group who can play next year. :bang:

Gray being a prop is the last thing we need right now, I can't believe Evans would sign a prop when we might be short of players next year. I would take a kid with a little less talent but is eligible next year, b/c he would help us next year a lot more than a prop, who has all the talent in the world but won't see the court next year.

I was told he is eligible, take that for what it's worth. Also, I was told we are no longer recruiting 6-8 Tyrus Thomas , he would not commit.

We should still give Thomas a shot and see if we can get him, just not try as hard as the other recruits.

Well it don't look like we will be geting Tyrus Thomas, according to the advocate Thomas has committed to play basketball at LSU. I also just read in the advocate that Spencer Ford has been released from his LSU basketball Scholarship. I would not be suprized if Ford ends up here at UL. He was signed by Jesse Evans out of Scotlandville high school, but decided to go to a junior college after being not having the grades to be eligible. Ford was a great high school basketball player, but hasn't put up the big number at Dixie Junior College so we will have to wait and see what happens.
