TROY, Ala. – The Troy State baseball team swept a doubleheader against Alabama A&M on Sunday, rallying for an 8-2win in game one and shutting out the Bulldogs, 6-0, in the nightcap.
The 6-0 shutout in the final game was the Trojans’ first shutout of the season and the first since defeating Gardner-Webb, 7-0, on April 19, 2003, a span of 48 games. The Trojans (25-9, 9-6 A-Sun) have won eight in a row and are off to their best start since 1996 when they opened the season 31-9.
