The WAC I grew up with is now the MWC; the current WAC has teams deserting like 'rats deserting a sinking ship'. It is way too unstable for any SBC teams to leave to form an E-WAC.

If the Sun Belt was stronger, Louisiana-Lafayette wouldn't be counting their game against La. Tech as a conference game.
Which brings up a good question, why did they count that as a conference game?

Having a poll like this in a Sun Belt forum is not going to get a fair result. Throw this out in the WAC board and see the results.

A much more interesting question is which one is more stable and which one is likely to be in existence in five years?
Sun Belt is the answer. Why on earth would anyone in the Sun Belt other than Idaho go to a conference where they are liable to find half the of the western schools in another conference in a few years. Screw that. Not to mention that idiot of a commissioner the WAC parades out like Baghdad Bob to deny yet another WAC team is leaving on an almost monthly basis. LOL
And WAC is a misleading name for that amalgamation of schools. Call it Big West II. That's right but the sequel is never as good as the original.
The "WAC" can have Idaho and they can keep latech til they go bankrupt.

Gotta agree. Throw this poll out on the Sports Bar Forum to get an accurate assessment.
I hate to tell you guys this, but with Boise State, Fresno State, and Hawaii I have to say the WAC is stronger. The SBC needs their teams to step up and start winning some OOC games before they can be considered as strong as the WAC.

With the addition of Utah State last year not all teams could play each other due to previous contracts that could not be gotten out of. Same this year but hopefully this will be the last of it. None of us like it.

If the poll was only dealing with football your arguement about Bosie State, Fresno State and Hawaii would be true but the poll question is "stronger overall conference." Of course there is bias on this board to say we are just as good as the WAC. :D
