I had a chance to see mr Pate on his visit to Mobile 2 or 3 weekends ago.. He is a big guy.. Very lean body.. very strong.
Jeffery Collins( the guard who transfered from UAB last year and sat out this year) said after seeing Jacque..... Man.. he big.. he really big..
And he was.
With
2 points guards who grew up a lot last year
a crown of 2-3 spots who can shoot.
and big strong talented players in the 4-5 spots..
I feel better already.. also...
Breaking News...........
Do not be surprised if a certain player spends his last year here at South. It might happen! Really!

I'll say this, Pate takes a pretty picture as a basketball player. I saw his JC photo on the internet and he is imposing. Very big, but not flabby at all. He kind of looks like a gigantic Malerick Bedden in body style. By looking at his freshman stats, I'd say that he will be an immediate help in rebounding, but his offense is probably still in need of developing. Hopefully his year off won't set him back too much.
As for the transfer news, bring him on. Anyone that can play in the ACC should be able to help us out. I've heard that we have more than one transfer coming in. Any clue as to who else there might be?
