LSU non-conference basketball schedule set
The non-conference portion of the LSU men's basketball program's 2004-05 schedule has been finalized.
The Tigers' schedule, which will be completed when the Southeastern Conference releases the league slate in August, is pending final approval by the LSU Athletic Council.
After two exhibition games Nov. 9 and Nov. 15, the Tigers open the regular season at home with a four-team, two-day tournament that sandwiches the LSU home football game against Mississippi on Nov. 20.
The Tiger basketball team will play host to Tulane on Friday, Nov. 19, while Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana Tech will meet in the other game. The winners and losers of those two games square off on Sunday, Nov. 21.
LSU also has November home games against New Orleans (Nov. 24) and West Virginia (Nov. 27).
After a two-week break for finals after the West Virginia game, LSU has December home games against in-state foes Northwestern State and McNeese State, meets Southern Mississippi in Biloxi on Dec. 18, travels to Houston on Dec. 21 and then takes on Florida State on Dec. 30 in New Orleans at the Sugar Bowl Classic.
After the holidays, LSU plays at Utah on Jan. 3, then entertains Ohio State on Jan. 15. The game contracts with the Buckeyes were signed last week after OSU introduced Thad Matta as the school's new head coach.
The 2005 SEC season begins Jan. 5, which is one of LSU's two open dates during the league schedule. The Tigers' first league game will be either Jan. 8 or 9.

I'll be there for both games. I got a couple of friends that live near the PMAC, so I'll be staying there. Unless we are playing LSU in the winner's final. Might make the LSU-Toolame game and check it out. Either way, it should be a great tournament.
GEAUX CAJUNS!!!
