:crying: I know that you dont care right now but you team hade a great year, congrats to you guys for beating the rockets. Wish us luck in our bowl game.
7-5 is an average year. It is a winning season, but FAR from a great year.
You won a MAC West Championship, it is not the ulitmate goal, but it is still a Championship.

This has been an incredibly difficult season. So much promise at the beginning and then a reality check, and then what seamed to be an awakening, and now the final chapter of what turned out to be an epic tragedy. NIU had the better team, probably the best team in the MAC, but they crumbled under the pressure in the end.

I have invested a ton of time and money this year, but mostly I have invested an enormous amount of emotion, and now I just feel sick, I think tonights game may have cost me a year of my life. Willing to accept that if it resulted in a win, the loss is just hard to swallow.

....At least this board is here so I can vent my anger and misery to those sympathetic....next year is a long ways away....can't help but think we had a huge chance to take a step forward with the program....now 03-puke

Having been on the business end of hot dogs and coins at the 2001 NIU v Toledo contest, I've never been thrilled with the fans of UT, but you've got class! 04-bow

(and good luck in Mobile. Bring a win back for the MAC)

Good luck to Akron in the Motor City. Good luck to Toledo in the GMAC. And good luck in Joe Novak being fired and a real head coach being brought in.

Thanks and congrats to you guys - you really rose up to the challenge in the fourth.

But, 7-5 is an average year given the teams we beat. If we had beat Mich or NW, then I'd say it was a good year, both a very good year, and both or one of them and a MACC a great year. We just were too inconsistent, both from game to game, and quarter to quarter.

Funny, this loss just makes me hate Toledo even more. I hope Akron wins their bowl game. I hope Toledo gets blown out in theirs.

How many years of winning seasons will NIU go through before they get the MAC championship? Just so everyone else knows who is comming over to this board to get a kick out of watching Huskie Fans cry and whine, it is really tough to be a Huskie fan right now.

Congrats to Akron, they played a good game :crying:

Even if we had beaten NW and Michigan, NIU still would not be going to a bowl game...

Yes we would have, only reason toledo got a bid was cause there record was better than ours.

I think next year we should play the F_U teams and get a great record.

You watched great football games- some had outcomes you hoped for, some didn't.

Sports is entertainment- its just better than the movies because its live and unpredictable.

With all any of us got to see this year it's hard to feel like it was a waste.

Just my philosophy on it all.

This all gives life flavor. We lose sometimes, when you guys beat us a few weeks back I was so upset I could not sleep that night. But I still love it.

College Football is the best sport in the world!
