LAFAYETTE -- A multiflavored Northwestern State offense had the University of Louisiana at Lafayette playing a vanilla defense in the second half Saturday night.
That defense shut out the Demons in the second half to take a 14-7 season-opening victory before 22,117 at Cajun Field.

Now ULL and Troy both have must-win games next week. Troy takes on Mizzou at home on ESPN and ULL takes on that other team up the road in Ruston.

I'll have my fingers crossed for every SBC team next week. But I want ULL to make LaTech to eat their words.
