Take a quick peek at all the threads about our team in the other forums. We have fans from other schools not even in our division taking glee in our loss to an opponent in their division which can only hurt them. Seems to me that this tells us that we are the hunted and no one wants to play us if we make it to the MACC.
I guess this means that we can truly say our program is back near the top after hitting the depths at the end of the Blackney era just 5 short years ago!!
The sad part is that at least one poster seems to be taking glee in Omar getting hurt. Calling him heartless for not risking his football career by sitting out the rest of the WMU game and maybe another one, after severly hurting his shoulder, not to mention calling him a prima dona and only caring about his personal stats.
If you have ever spoken with Omar or seen him after a game signing every autograph asked for and posing for every picture for so long that the coaches have to make him leave the field, you know that kind of person he is.
I think we really know who the heartless prima dona is around here.

Because my brother went to BG (and actually sat through the game yesterday), I guess I have a soft spot for them. It did sound bad. I obviously have teams I don't care for, but I am too old for reveling in other teams' losses. And I am only 22. If you follow my attendance battle on the main board the past two days, it gets sickening when nobody roots for each other. But come bowl season or basketball, I am supposed to root for Toledo, OU, etc?
On the Kent State board, we only notice what Akron did yesterday, but only because we need ammunition for when one of the "pretender" Akron fans wants to stir trouble up about our lousy team.

BG losing is not a good thing for the conference as a whole, but it is a good thing for Miami, Akron and Ohio, all of which have a shot at the MAC East. I think that is why some may enjoy the BG loss. As for the NIU and UT fans, they have a certain dislike/rivalry thing going on that is completely different.
I for one root for the MAC to get the most exposure it can. If that means a BG going undefeated (beating my Alma Mater) and being ranked #10 then you better believe I will root for the Falcons.
