I especially like how they pick us based on what we were "given" rather than what we will earn. We will blow the doors off of everyone we play this year and that includes Miami and UCF. I would guess that VT will be a ten point win for us minimum. (Like I was gonna pick VT to win) <img border="0" alt="[Drinky]" title="" src="graemlins/drinky.gif" />

ToledoFan - interesting analysis, thanks for the link. A strong offensive line is a good place to start, but those skill players may take awhile to get in synch. Experience could help offset the losses, however, the talent you just lost had pretty big cleats to fill. A bigger concern might be that Brand-new front four on defense. Teams are probably going to run at you right away, until you prove you can stop them, and developing a pass rush will be vital. Also, UT showed inconsistent, undisciplined play at times last season and had a particular problem with penalties. If that continues, the Rockets could cost themselves a couple games...
MUther - Beating VT by ten will be a tall order, if your defense hasn't improved against the run. If Grant Noel is able to play, things get even tougher. Remember that Beamer's teams are adept at forcing and taking advantage of mistakes, especially on special teams, so every aspect of your game needs to be sharp.
Essency - I was just looking at MAC team schedules, and it looks like UCF wins the Attempted Suicide award hands-down. Good luck...

Are linebackers, which are back, did most of the tackling on those running plays. If the D-Line can just hold their own enough to keep the O-Line from getting to our linebackers, stopping the run won't be as bad as you might think.
Now the passing game could kill us if our D-Line doesn't get to the QB. That is where inexperience and depth on the D-Line will hurt!

Last year we started with four away games: @Clemson, @Syracuse, @Tulane, @Virginia Tech. Heavy September schedules are pretty common.
