What in your opinions is the biggest game(s) for your respective teams?
On the Akron side, I'm going with Marshall and Miami at home...those are huge.
Also, UCF away...we gotta have 2 out of the 3 or we're done.

Personally? The game that gets my blood racing is Missouri at Bowling Green. I can't freaking wait. That's going to be awesome. The Falcons beat the Tigers last year in Columbia. It's gonna be even better this year...
But in terms of MAC play... probably BG at Toledo. I don't know if Toledo will still be in the hunt that late in the season (late enough to snow). But, the way things could shake out, BG would lock the West with a win.
NIU makes me nervous, too. But the Falcons haven't played the Huskies in years, so its tough to get up for that game. . .
And, of course, we Falcon fans love stomping on Toledo even if the game is meaningless.

It's a good thing, too, since it's the only time you can...when the game is meaningless and the players are second string.

The real answer is Syracuse @ UCF. Winning this game in front of 40K or 50K would get this community kicking. <img border="0" alt="[Saber]" title="" src="graemlins/saber.gif" />

That would certainly be a huge win for UCF and the MAC, Knighttime. Hope it happens.

RochesterFalcon - I hope your boys aren't too overconfident for Missouri. They are going to be much improved this year. It would definitely be a good win for the MAC if you do win, because they should be much better than last year.

Considering that it is the MAC games that really count - BG at BG! But, the most exciting game will be Ball State at Clemson this fall. Went there a few years ago when we played them - best game ever. Best fans ever. Hottest darn place to place football!!! But, I'll be there this fall and I am sure that it will be another game to remember.

Three games, three different reasons:
1. @ Penn St. - Part of me thinks we can win, other part just hoping not to be stomped on opening day.
2. @ Marshall - Biggest game for us in the MAC and the trash talking has been terrific so far.
3. Syracuse - we have a big victory on the road, now we need one at home. This would be EPIC!

Of course, for us - the CMU~WMU game is always the biggest game - and it's our turn to win again!!!!
But of the rest, I think the September 7th Wyoming game @ Kelly-Shorts will give us an indication of how we're going to do. We win that .... and look out, MAC West! OK, how about "look out, EMU, BallSt and NoILL!"? We'll still get beat by the Ohio MAC-West teams.
I also don't think the @Indiana and @Boston College games are unwinnable.
A 29 Sam Houston State (WIN)
S 7 Wyoming (TOSS UP)
S 14 @Akron* (LOSE)
S 21 @Indiana (TOSS UP)
S 28 @Boston College (PROBABLY LOSE)
O 12 Bowling Green* (LOSE)
O 19 @Northern Illinois* (WIN)
O 26 Marshall* (LOSE)
N 2 @Eastern Michigan* (WIN)
N 9 @Toledo* (LOSE)
N 16 Ball State* (WIN)
N 23 Western Michigan* (WIN)
MAC-west record: (4-2)
MAC record: (4-4)
Overall: (7-5), no bowl

Oh, Nert, so out of touch.....hee hee hee!
For the Huskies, home opener vs. Wake is a big step up game, at Wisconsin would be a HUGE win for us, Toledo & BGSU at home decide the West, and at Miami could be a great game!

yep, NIU goes (0-12), attracts an average of 17 fans per game, gets reassigned to I-Aa< joins the the Mid-Cont conference and becomes Valparaiso's whipping boy.
Do I believe it?
No, but it's fun talkin smack with somebody. Besides, it's so rare anyone tries to pick a fight with a CMU fan - I have to pounce on the opportunity!

Nert, I bow to the King of wishful thinking. Gotta like the fact that you have some swagger. I see us going between 5-7 and 7-5. Big games: I pretty much agree with you, but here's da list:
1) Wyoming: gets us off to a 2-0 start, avenging a fourth quarter letdown in Laramie two years ago. T. Jackson had a big play in that game. It's a good omen...
2) WMU: I'd love it if this game clinched the West for us, not to be premature. Even if it's
just for a .500 or winning season, it'd be important. Besides...it's ALWAYS fun to break the Broncos... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="cool.gif" />
3) @Toledo: just to break the long string of losses, this game would be big. With the Rockets probably a little down this season, it's possible.
4)@Indiana: A poor B10 team would be a good victim and a great confidence-builder headed into Boston.

If you are ANY kind of Tech fan, it is easy to chose. You know what I'm talkin' about. I will make my annual trip to Athens to taunt some dawggies. The next biggest game would probably be UVA, since I think the winner of that game locks up 2nd or 3rd. I like having F$U at home this year.
As far as Miami is concerned, it's very hard to pick. OU and UC are the traditional rivals, and Marshall is a new one, but it might be for the East. I'm excited about playing UCF for the first time, and Iowa AT HOME is huge! We are playing Toledo for the first time in a while, and that is LONG overdue. UNC and LSU are VERY strong OOC games, and we owe Kent -- big time. Of course, the Akron game is always meaningful, too. Let's hope we don't overlook an ever-improving Buffalo team.

Our OOC is big S7 @ Michigan, S14 @ Purdue and S28 Va. Tech in Kalamazoo. Our biggest game will probably be the Ohio MAC West winner and of course CMU since if we can't break the curse the UT and BGSU games will probably go for naught. <img border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" title="" src="graemlins/banghead.gif" />
