Two things you ought to know about:
1) So, a certain being was banned from posting on bobcatattack.com...but able to read the posts there...seeing the 'FUC' football thread, this poster e-mailed to board management that that thread clearly reflected significant violations of that board's posted 'profanity' rule. Were those who posted 'FUC' stuff sanctioned? no the banned poster found himself banned further/now disabled from even reading posts on that board.
2) The poster was banned for pointing out facts and asking questions--not for any specific accusations. Kinda like the letter to the editor that someone else had published in the 6/29/02 L.A. Times. The letter connected a recent Times item on steroid use by athletes and another recent item. It reads (in part): "A Times article Sunday described (a major league pitcher) as a good high school pitcher who couldn't get a college scholarship until the summer he gained 30-40 pounds and his fastball jumped 10 mph. Hello, is anybody home? Follow the dots. How often do people gain 30-40 pounds of muscle over the course of a summer through good nutrition and weightlifting?"
Yup, the L.A.Times believes in fair opinion and freedom of expression. It published the letter. Post such an item on bobcatattack.com and meet a different fate.
