Just got home from our Midnight Madness, "Late Night with Western Kentucky Basketball."
I know football is still going and my #4 Hilltoppers are doing well for themselves, but it was great to be back in Diddle Arena, with the lights down, the intros flashing, the fight song playing, and basketball balls dribbling!!
Anyone else's school do anything special to bring in the season?

No midnight madness in Denton, but the team will be doing a scrimmage on homecoming day at 1pm.
I'm a little peeved there there's no midnight madness here, but hopefully that'll change for next year.

With the tournament in Denton, you'd think they'd work overtime to get excitement built for the team. Gotta sell those tournament books EARLY to get your money for bidding on the tournament.
You start having a bad season, and sales DROP.

A student fan organization is being started this year, and there are some more promotional efforts that are going to take place from what I've heard.
We'll just have to see if that translates into increased attendance or not.
