BTW, if you take out the Northwestern State game from this years totals, our opponents have scored an average of 31.3 points per game on us. An we have scored an average of 27.3 points per game.

The drastically easier schedule this season has something to do with the better numbers on offense.
The defense really is that bad.
For a view of how carastophic things could be, close your eyes, and imagine life without Jerry Babb.
Since it's close to Halloween, I thought I'd give y'all a little scare.

This is turning into another bad year defensivly. Although some people question him, Christophel is doing a good job offensivly by keeping the dfense off the field, but if theres an assistant that needs to be questioned is Pry. We play way off. We allow more 3rd and longs than any team ive ever seen. Seriously, that is just bad.

your right. After looking at our numbers I thought the same thing, if we cannot and do not do better over these next 4 games then changes need to be considered.

If we could run for 200 yards a game that would hide a bad defense. Eventhough we're averaging great yards per run, we're not running the ball enough to hide this bad defense. I hope to see us continue throwing the ball like we have, but try to run some more to keep the ball an extra couple of minutes each half to hide this defense and give them a rest. IMHO.

the problem with that logic is that we are killing the clock. We dont go 3 and out all the time. All our drives are long and methodical, designed to keep the defense off the field, thus why i think christophel is doing a spectacular job...but the defense comes back out completely refreshed...and completely looks out of place. our defense doesnt set up inplace, and were continuously moving. watch the FIU tape. the defense looks just plain confused. 3rd year in a row...Pry needs to be held accountable. Mental mistakes is coaching, and this defense is outta place, confused, and not stopping anyone running or passing.

Well, what can you say? It almost looked to good to be true in pre-season. But you know what ? I will never lose hope with our program and our guys. It takes time to develop a championship team, and we're on our way. I thought it would be this year, but i believe we're headed in the right direction. I think if the fans stick with the team, and show their support no matter what, then we'll both have a chamionship team and community. let's keep our heads up and cheer our guys on Saturday.

I will follow this team and always cheer for them, but the problem is that at the first sign of trouble most of the people in this community will get off the wagon and follow LSU. We need a lot of people who will support UL through thick and thin. I hope we can win out and have most of the people come back next year, b/c we'll be a stronger team next year since we're still a young team.
