1st off....congrats on a solid season. Is anybody hearing that the GMAC bowl is interested in Troy vs Memphis?? This was mentioned tonite on one of the Marshall boards.

That's a new one. Just about every other minor bowl seems to be in play.

The GMAC Bowl would be wells erved by Memphis and Troy. It's a decent drive for both schools. Any bowl is great with us.

Since the bowl is tied in on the other side by a conference that can fill it's spot (MAC) - it would be a major, major shocker if they disregarded that commitment.

This is one of those examples of completely uninformed rumors.

At least a bowl where one of the conferences is one them short, (even if it isn't the last bowl), is possible. This rumor is not possible.

The GMAC Bowl is officially Memphis vs. Bowling Green. Both teams have been offered and have accepted.
