Hey Jeff, wuts up, I'm making this topic in regards to some earlier comments of yours on the Western Kentucky- Middle Tennesee game the other day. You and a couple of other Western fans, boldly declared that MTSU were all your picks to win the Sunbelt Tourney and were the favorites to take it all. Also, that you guys never wanted to play that team again. This was all based on the fact that MTSU nearly stole a game at WKU's home floor. I really don't believe so. If u ask me, although it is WKU's home floor, at this point of the season, and as much as the Blue Raiders have regrouped, the loss was somewhat dissappointing and a bit disheartening. The crowd and atmosphere were great, but MT should have won that game by at least 10 or even 15. They had the game in control for most of the way, their pressure defense was great, and they created alot of good opportunities for themselves. It was the opportunities that MT screwed up that could have iced this game for them , and WKU needed rigorous ball movement at times to get those good looks for the three point shot. I also do recall that 2 of those three point shots were long bombs from about 30 feet out, thats how much WKU was pressured to score. If those dont go in, the game was pretty much over. I do appreciate the compliments towards the Blue Raiders, but i feel they underachieved a bit in this game. MT still has alot of work to do. You have Arkansas Little Rock suddenly becoming a strong squad, Denver with a formidable squad, New Orleans with a competitive team, and of course the Cajuns, they are usually up there. MTSU has lots to prepare for, as this Sunbelt tourney is going to be a frightfest as it is very wide open this year. MTSU does have all the tools to win it, but as someone else stated earlier, Little Rock as the 'complete package' as well. Maybe it isn't jsut MT with a deep roster.

I never said MTSU was my pick. I actually said said UALR was my pick. I said in this forum actually on a poll. I never said I didn't want to play them again either.

That's called good offense.

Actually, only one shot. And it was the shot that was waived off.

Ah, you finally quoted me correctly. *I* Said that.

You'll know what I'm talking about if you refer to the MT Delphi forum, I may have mistakened you for someone else. If I recall correctly, Anthony Winchester made a couple from way out. Forcing a team to use almost the entire shotclock isn't exactly good offense, its more like lack of a back-up plan and panicking on a sense of urgency.

Who is on UALR's roster by the way.

Nope, I don't think I picked MTSU to win.

I think the tournament comes down to UALR, WKU, ULL, or Denver. But I would not be suprised if MTSU won. This is going to be a very exciting tournament.

I wouldn't be surprised if the preseason #44 ranked team in the country didn't win the SBC tournament either.

What does preseason ranking have to do with anything, it's March now.
