Man, I really feel for those guys. They had 5 potential At-Large teams, and all of them get snubbed. So much for the selection committee recognizing how tough of a conference the MAC actually is. Their is so much havoc in the MAC message board. But yet, here in the sunbelt message board...... so peaceful...ahhhh.

By whom??? The MAC got one team into the NCAA, what's so overrated about that? I wish the Cajuns luck against Louisville, you can beat them. In fact, I got money ridding on it :D
Regardless of the selections/snubs, this is the best time of year!

Yeah I'm a bit confused how a one-bid league is over-rated.

WKU talks about the MAC being better than the SBC, yet look at this. Both teams got 1 team in and both are a 13 seed. Hmmmmm.... Perhaps the MAC isn't so great after all. According to everyone UB and Miami (OH) were supposed to be dancing. Yet, they only get the NIT.

Ohhh now I get it.......so WKU is overrating the MAC. Obviously the NCAA selection committee wasn't overrating the MAC, cuz just like the SBC, we only got one bid.
Was that your point or were just wanting to rag on the MAC?

Hehe, you're really making this confusing. Ear of Corn, wuts up, what school do you attend?
The MAC is overrated in a sense, but maybe the teams in that conference were just really that good, like top 25 quality. But truth of the matter is, none of those teams had quality wins in their schedules and the supposed 'miscalculation' in the RPI made them look much better then they really were. Miami, Buffalo and all the other MAC teams should have been out of the running along time ago, because of all the pathetic and inexcusable losses they had down the stretch. But the bubble wathces kept giving them a shot. So if you're asking if the MAc is overrated...
Your answer is: YES - The MAC got too much credit than it really deserved.

Wutup WutupNJ? I'm a Northern Illinois grad. Go Huskies!!! Our bowl game against Troy really started peaking my interest in your conference. So I like to check in here now and again.
The title of this thread just caught my eye. Its just funny to see someone think that the MAC is overrated when its been a single bid league for 6 years running. Of course we the fans tend to overrate our conferences, but hey, that's what we're suppose to do....right?

Yeah, let's see how overrated the MAC is for the next five years when Kent State AD Laing Kennedy is a member of the NCAA selection committee.
No more Bob Bowlsby to do favors for Iowa and Northern Iowa.

While the MAC only got 1 NCAA bid, it did have two teams on the At-large board... I doubt seriously SBC did. The MAC also did get 4 teams in the NIT, SBC got two.

Until the Cajuns screwed up at the end of the season, they were in serious consideration for an at-large.
