I know you guys want to build rivals in the conference, but the Troy students could care less about Middle Tenn. as you saw last game. If you watch the Troy UAB game this year though it will be a packed house because, well we basically hate them. So how do we make us and Middle Tenn. better rivals? As well as other teams in the conference?

I remember things used to be heated between Troy and MT. I'll have to ask some of the guys on the MT Delphi forum about it and I'll post what they say when I get home.

I think thats your opinion 'pikap. I think the Troy fans care about Middle Tennessee and think of them as a rival. A friendly rival however, and thats a good thing. As for UAB, yes, Troy hates UAB, and its not a rivalry because we kick their butts in football.

I'm glad we have a rivalry with MT and a trophy to play for.

GO TROJANS!

I was at the last Troy-MTSU game. It was one of the most exciting games of the season.

Both crowds and band were into the game - with the Troy band's rebuke by the refs getting the crowd so riled that it made enough noise to cause the MTSU QB to throw two INTs, run back for Troy TDs!

Granted the crowd was relatively small and the weather was horrendous, but it showed that this rivalry has promise.
