Has anyone heard if Pittsburgh QB Rod Rutherford will be playing this weekend? I know he was involved in an altercation over the weekend, but I haven't seen if he was suspended.
If he does sit out, that may help the secondary quiet Fitzgerald (somewhat anyway).

Punt16,

Just read in today's Akron Beacon Journal that Walt Harris still hasn't decided on Rutherford's status for your game with Pitt this weekend.

Good luck against Pitt and nice comeback vs the Zips!

I can think of many examples when a brick MUST be thrown through a car window.

I read in the Akron Beacon Journal (Wednesday 9/3/03) paper) a small article that the Pitt
coach said that no information, police or university has come his way; and until that happens
or and actual charge against Rutherford - he would still play him Saturday.

Anyone want to bet that the Pitt coach won't seem to recall receiving information about Rutherford until mid January, 2004, then suspend him immediately in a fury of indignation to set an "example for the community" ! 03-wink
