What's up folks. Just thought I would say hello as I make my debut on this fine board. I, like you, am a huge cheerleader for KSU athletics. Especially in hoops. I attend just about every mens hoop game at the MACC and make an occasional road trip. If the weather in northern Ohio calms down by Wed., I will be traveling to the wind - swept plains of western Ohio to 04-drinky and hopefully watch my boys 03-nutkick BUGS. Anderson Arena is a fun and difficult place to watch a game if your the opposition. I went last year and the attendance was around 3000 in mid-Feb. Maybe BUGS fans will show up this time so we can send more people home unhappy. Anyone going ?

Anyway, I look forward to talking about the MAC and KSU with everyone. 04-cheers

Yeah, I am headed up there with some friends and I plan to have a few 04-drinky beforehand. Last year some dud bought us a pitcher that I drank most of and was loud and obnoxious at the game. I'm hoping for a good defensive effort from the FLASHES. We cannot overlook this one. Heres to another great week of Kent State Basketball.

GO FLASHES!!!

This is a great game for a bus trip. Why do we not have those?

I agree G68, a perfect opportunity to help Kent in a hostile environment like Anderson. If tomorrow's attendance is anything like last years(3000 approx.) just imagine what a couple of bus loads of students would do. There were about 30 of us die hards last year and we made alot of noise. It would be sweet with around 200 of us. :bluethumb:

GF68 -

I think the respnse you are looking for is "because the athletics department , under direction of the current AD, doesn't plan them." So, there, you got it.

Just pulling your chain a LITTLE bit. :D

Flash Fan,
I honestly was not thinking that way, but now that you brought it up, isn't is a shame. I used to go on the bus trips and really enjoyed it.

The box score stated there was only about 2,700 at the game - a bit surprising for a home game with a rival who is the league leader. How many Kent fans made the trip?

I think the MACC could take over the "House That Roars" rep with the crowds we've been drawing.

They never announced the attendance last night. I am surprised at the A-2700 number FF. It looked like around 3500 as I scoped the place out. Kent fans represented well, as it looked like we had around 40 or 50( not bad for a reg. season road game.)

BTW, another gritty road win. They sure know how to just "win baby." BG defended Big John very well but couldn't shut down the rest of the crew. I'm not sure of the exact #'s but I think BG was 8 of 30 from 3 pt land. I look forward to the Zips on Sat. Hopefully we can have 6000 at the MACC 04-bow
