I have been checking out the old rivals board and this board for some time now to see how the fans, the few ones we have, react to the athletic program and games. I just recently graduated in December and finished my football career as a flash in November. I figure I will join the board now as an Alum and a fan to add my opinions and insider views of games, situations, etc. Glad to be aboard but sad that all I am now is a fan, not a player! 04-drinky GO FLASHES ..... BEAT AKRON tomorrow!!! 04-rock 04-rock :newb:

Welcome, FIDO. You've joined a energetic, loyal and fair group of Flash fans. Hope you stick around and pipe in on the MAC board here, too.

While you are here, I have a question,. You are the second former Flash football player to show up here. ( We love you, punt. 04-bow ).
I appreciate the fact that you can't speak for everyone, but do active players read this board or others like it? If so, I will be :D unless I'm really

Thanks for the welcome .... like you say I cannot speak for everyone but I would say only a few guys do check this board, maybe 10 or so. I have never really talked to any other guys about posts online but I am sure those that surf the web check out the boards from time to time. For me it was always an interesting way to get another's perspective on what was happening .... but some guys don't care to do that I guess. Plus it was nice to hear the fans out there that really care about KSU football and all KSU sports.

Welcome Fido--no better place to talk KSU sports online than here.
And always great to hear from someone who has been there, done that!

Welcome FIDO!!!
Huh, "F.I.D.O."... Sounds like something spoken right out of the mouth of Coach Wright. Am I correct?
Did you play D?
For all you others, F.I.D.O. was a motto of ours when things weren't going well (sometimes all to often).
F. It and Drive On!!!

You are right punt16!! I thought I would give a little tribute to coach wright ... too bad he was fired. I think it was time for some new blood on defense and he just was not getting it done. Great guy though. Of all the position coaches I had, I had him as my coach for the longest time, even though it was different positions on defense (OLB, ILB, DE). FIDO was definitely an appropriate way for the LBs or DL to break it down after practice everyday ... alot of adversity! I also was on the punt team ... though you graduated before I took over for Altizer. Coach Pees always said punt was the most important special team!! Does that give you an idea of who I may be?? 03-wink

We all may disagree here from time to time, particularly with regard to f-ball, but one thing we small but loyal bunch have in common is a LOVE FOR OUR GOLDEN FLASHES!

GO KENT!

P.S.- I'l be interested in you insights during next f-ball season. Welcome aboard!
